GEORGE ARCHAINBAUD 1890-1959
Amerikalı Yazar ve yönetmen. Paris’te doğdu,1915’te Amerika’ya göç etti.Sahne tecrübesi olan biri olarak Hollywood’da asistan yönetmen olarak çalıştı. 1917’’As Man Made Her’’ ilk filmini yönetti. Sessiz dönemde Çeşitli türlerde film yapsa da genelde Western ağırlıklı çalıştı.
Western filmleri yapımcısı Harry Sherman ile işbirliği yaparak sesli dönemde 30’lu ve 40’lı yıllarda çok fazla B+ tipi başarılı Western filmleri yaptı. Çoğu filmde Gene Autry baş rolü oynadı. 1950’li yıllardaTelevizyona Haftalık Western dizileri yaptılar. TV dahil toplamda 147 film yaptı.
