İsveç doğumlu,Amerikalı tiyatro ve film yönetmeni.Stilize ekspresyonist kısa filmler yaptı.Dinsel konularda filmler yaptı.Dini kuruluşlardan sponsorluk aldı.Bergman ve Fellini’den esinlendi.Genelde senaryoları kendi yazdı.Humanist bir anlayışla çektiği filmleri UCLA  film ve televizyon arşivinde muhafaza edilmektedir.
