Amerikalı film Yönetmeni.  1922 de Hal Roach’un şoförü olarak işbaşı yaptı.Za manla RKO’nun tanıdığı imkanla ,kısa komedi ve kısa müzikal filmler çekmeye başladı. Uzun metraj film yönetmenliği 1938’den sonradır.1967 Tv dizisi ‘’The Guns Of Will Sonnett’’34 bölüm,1966 Tv dizisi’’Death Valley Days’’ 20 bölüm ve çeşitli diziler yaptı.  1940’larda çektiği filmler ise bugün dahi hatırlanıp izlenmektedir. 1944 ‘’In Society’’,1945 ‘’Here Come the Co-Eds’’ ,1945’’The Naughty Nineties’’ Abbott and Castello ile yaptığı komedi filmleridir.  Genelde Komedi,Film-Noir,korku ve gerilim filmleri dahil 128 film yaptı.
